We are saddened to announce that, after successfully recruiting, selecting, and training 67 dedicated new teachers since 2008, the Twin Cities Teaching Fellows (TCTF) program is closing.
 
As of March 15, the program will no longer accept applications, interview, train, or place teachers in the Twin Cities for the upcoming 2010-2011 school year.
 
Saint Paul Public Schools, the anchor district of TCTF, has reevaluated its teacher hiring needs and determined that the program no longer fits its approach to filling vacancies in high-need subject areas and schools. This was a difficult decision for all stakeholders and is by no means a reflection on the hard work of Fellows in their classrooms or the quality of our applicant pool this year.
